Wordinator is an unwanted program that will show a huge amount of ads in your computer, more specifically in your web browser.
Software created only with the goal in mind of increasing the profits of its creator by means of publicity are called adware. Wordinator is one of these programs. The term adware is a contraction of “advertisement” and “software”. In other words advertising software.
These programs are not as dangerous as a real virus like a Trojan would be. However they remain a malicious threat that is as annoying as it can be; the non-stopping ads will ruin your browsing experience and will also affect your computer’s performance.
Wordinator is in fact a new version of a series of adware already covered in our pages, such as TermBlazer and more recently WordFly. These programs are presented as super tools with some function that’s supposed to be quite useful. In this case they offer you the possibility of opening up a pop-up window where you can search the web without leaving the website you’re visiting. Nothing but an excuse to spend the time they remain in your computer showing ads and probably also spying on everything you do online.
