WindApp is a browser extension designed by the society Nosibay. When it’s installed on a browser, it will display advertising in the form of traditional banners but also underlined links in blue or green on the visited pages. WindApp can also show up pop-ups or open new tabs on the browser. The advertising is directly injected from the extension to the browser. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer can be infected by this adware.

WindApp is probably installed by executable files, downloaded from the internet. They can be free software, downloaded beyond their official websites or fake software updates that are usually offered on streaming sites, pornography sites and file sharing sites with torrents.
