System-Checker is an unwanted program that’ll try by every possible mean to show ads in your computer; ads that translate into a financial commission for its creators. It will drastically ruin the visual look of every website you visit with it’s endless ads tagged as Ads by System-Checker. This program is particularly active in e-commerce websites like Amazon, although it can also be seen adding fake ads into Google results, as we show in the screenshot shown below:
Uninstall System-Checker is no easy task; it does appear on Windows’ list of programs with an option to be removed, however at least on the version we used for our tests it asks for a password to effectively remove it.
System-Checker might be detected as Win32/Adware.AlimenMain by some antivirus software. We submitted one of its files to several antivirus programs, which result in several detections.
You must always be very careful with what you download from the internet. There is a huge number of people trying to get some easy money by showing ads in your computer, sadly that number increases even more every day. Always download your software from their official website, plus make sure you start customizing every install you make.
