PriceChop or prricehOp is an adware program, or what’s known as a “potentially unwanted program” (PUP). We say “potentially” because if PriceChop is living in your browsers (Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer can be among them), it’s because you haven’t been careful enough. In fact, you’ve undoubtedly installed a free program off the Internet, or you’ve downloaded a fake software update (usually Flash or Java), and you’ve installed PriceChop because you didn’t personalize the installation of the downloaded program.
If PriceChop or prricehOp is installed on your computer, you’ll be exposed to a ton of non-stop advertisements when you surf the Internet. These ads will appear in pop-ups, banners, or links in the web pages’ text with the words “Ads by prricehOp” as you can see in the screenshot below.
Avoid clicking on the advertisements that this adware program generates: you risk being redirected towards websites that could cause even more problems for your computer.
