Focusbase is a new adware program that turns up when you install free programs, fake Java and Flash updates and fake video readers from certain downloading platforms such as Softonic or 01net. Focusbase infects Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox alike.
Focusbase is designed to make money off of you by flooding the pages you visit with tons of non-stop advertisements. Maybe Focusbase is nothing more than visually annoying from time to time, but don’t forget that an adware program is also a threat to your private life: everything you do on the Internet risks being registered by Focusbase.
To avoid such problems, reading the Terms and Conditions for the installation of free software programs before installing them on your computer is highly recommended. Never click the “Next” button too quickly during the installation process; otherwise, you’re giving your express consent to install this type of adware program, including Focusbase. If the installer has an advanced or personalized installation button, click on it to check that malicious software programs won’t be installed during the installation process.
