CommonShare is adware that is usually installed on browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox) when you download and install free software. The adware designers use a specific marketing method where this program is offered as discreetly as possible when you install free software. Most of victims install the CommonShare plugin without their knowledge and their consent. Once installed, CommonShare will generate online intrusive ads that have usually the mention ads by CommonShare or powered by CommonShare which are unexpectedly opened during your browsing.
In addition, CommonShare tracks your internet activity by recording the visited websites and your activity on these pages (clicks, search inputs etc…). In some cases, this information can be personally traceable and used or shared to third parties.
Even though there is an official site where CommonShare claims to “make the internet more dynamic”, it can cause serious privacy issues, expose you to more dangerous infections and moreover slow down your computer. For these reasons, we recommend that you remove CommonShare when you see it.
