Allgenius is adware, a term derived from a contraction from the words Advertising software. Allgenius directs targeted ads to the PC user, with your initial consent. Adware is the part installed on computers, becoming the target of multiple sources working together; the other parts are software from an advertising company, using spying, profiling, and a network of servers called adservers.
Allgenius takes charge of ad management on PCs (count, posts, stats, clicks, etc.). It’s at the service of these adservers, which are remote computer networks owned by advertisement companies. Allgenius can thus ask the adserver, every thirty seconds or so, for a new ad banner to replace the content posted by another.
So, allgenius is a tracking tool (a form of spying) at the same time. It tracks your smallest habits, actions, and browsing behavior or besides browsing, pages and URLs of sites you’ve visited, keywords you’ve used, information given to surveys, programs you’ve used, media files you’ve watched or heard, etc. It will then guess your likes and needs at the moment and customize your consumer profile accordingly to give you “the right ads, at the right time, to the right person, by the right means”.
