AdGazelle is spread through fake alert messages offering software updates, present or not on your computer. Here is an example where you will be offered a Java update.

If you read carefully what is written on this page, you will see in tiny characters at the bottom: “This site distributes a modified Setup which differs from the original. In addition to the download and installation, fugupdates101.com could offer other optional software”.

If these two lines are able to warn you about this type of sites, be aware that you should never install software update if this one is offered directly by a website.  Technically, a webpage displayed on your browser cannot have access beyond your browser, therefore it’s not possible to know if you need update or not for your software.

If you’re infected by AdGazelle, follow the procedure below to clean your computer.
